Review:
Tyler Perry takes the character Alex Cross and failed miserably. Even if it is just hard to blame. The problem starts with the script, which is no less bleak. All main characters are one-dimensional, no development at all. Pattersons novel condensed to a formulaic and predictable story, where you can see danger coming a mile away. No villain of why he does what he does and why there was no professional killer choice that he makes. Time has absolutely no point in this film. Events must be held within a period of time in the book that have been compressed to a few minutes of this movie. I have not seen the movie in a while I said to myself, you have to be kidding me several times because the scene was so unacceptable. Rob Cohen's direction is nothing as terrible. Scenes are so vague that you can not tell someone who has. When theres no scenes, the rest heads speaking film shot for television film 70s. Operating flat out stinks (except for brief appearances around with Cecily Tyson and Giancarlo Esposito). No chemistry with Perry and Ed Burns and no chemistry between the villain (Matthew Fox) and Perry. Result movie basically sounds like a movie of the week 70th. The only advantage I find value in this film is the location. There were some nice use of the building in the movie Detroit. Also, do not waste your time.
