Of course, this movie was a lot of hype, and how film can live up to all this .... blah blah. Even so, this film is a bit dissapointment. This film proves that not only special FX that made Star Wars fun to watch. When George Lucas was so excited to see what it can do for CGI effects to have forgotten what made the original trilogy so much that it is written and signs. It's not a bad film, but the problems are many-many. forgive this film that faded as they say, is only the first of another trilogy, and it's just follow up everything. WRONG WRONG WRONG, this film was to make their own movie in the first place, like the other three films. You need good characters and some interesting history .... It did not. story revolves around the conflict trade dispute, andthe fate of the planet Naboo. Does anyone really care about this? The details of the discussion is somewhat vague and, in fact, turned out not generate enough interest for us to root for a specific country. The key terms of conflict and the rise of Darth Sideous considered very far in the background. I do not know why Darth Maul Jedi hates so much .... he just does it. Darth Maul Lucas probably wanted to be a bit like Boba Fett (and still mysterious). Worked Boba Fett, because he's just a supporting character, not the main villain. This film really is no clear villain. I wish someone would have the courage and just said that the basic story lousy. Lucas, no one seemed particularly happy in this movie. Qui-Gon is really the only character can be connected even if you are very remote. Queen does a lot of her scenes mannequin (and it looks like a.) Obi-Wan Kenobi wander the film, to no avail, and never does not say anything interesting. The characters do not seem to talk about anything but the plot (unlike the first film). C-3PO and R2-D2 was pretty pointless. The Jedi Council would come through very cold and buracratic. I will never understand why Annakin written as a class school children in this movie. Could have been a teenager. The scenes of the Queen's uncomfortable. He will not talk about Jarre Jar.Various other things ... Work midochlorians seems to have been just a bit tacked on. The humor falls flat, unless the child is very small. Annakin destroying merchant ships at the end and all safves mostly by accident! George Lucas and ILM seem to be very happy with the new CGI toys that you spent to repair 95% of the time. Honestly, I thought FX Return of the Jedi sharper, more dimensional and less comical. It's all happening here a memorable one. This movie will never be as good as the hype, but can easily be much better than this. I waited so long for this movie, but I first saw this movie, I was really bored in the middle of it.There good moments. The pod race was good, as the lightsaber battle at the end. There are some very good special effects throughout. Hopefully Lucas just had writers block when he wrote this. Perhaps you will remember what they have done in other films, such as Episode II at the right time. Although it seems to have messed up the title.
