Review:
I went into this movie confident that it would be a palliative, excessive play on the same tried and true tricks of the trade, such as when the hero is investigating the creepy music coming from porãoe a cat jumps into frame, but soon discovered that this was not the case with insidious. After watching the move and obsessing over it for about 12 hours now, I can honestly say one of the scariest movies I've ever seen. In fact, there were several moments in the film where I screamed like a girl of 13 years at a Justin Bieber concert. Keep in mind I was consciously trying my best to stay calm, especially because I was sitting beside my new girlfriend of 2 months. She, incidentally, did not make a peep, fortunately, I found out later he had his eyes closed the whole time. I also expect to see some blood and guts, especially the guys who have seen, but there was a drop. Instead, they used almost everything in your arsenal to scare the bejesus out of me and everyone in the theater (my girlfriend included). From literally the opening credits, they created one disturbing intense strain that did not leave my body for different types of whiskey and a half after Xanax. And the movie constantly feeds the tension, making even the characters mundane family life somehow seem utterly terrifying. Actually, I was exhausted leaving the theater all the squirming discomfort I was not able to control. Id say its more calories than I have ever burned while watching a movie (well, at least one film PG-13). Overall, the movie was great. E 'was crazy scary and fun and surprisingly funny at times. That said, it will be some time before you see another horror movie, I have no desire to be transformed into a bundle of nerves exhausted again soon. So if you're going to see this movie, please consider this a reminder warning: it's probably better to go with someone who has already seen you have a physical mental and complete, in order to avoid a return to home embarrassing. And maybe bring a Xanax as well.
